Born out of the brewpub world but operated and raised independently , the Red Truck Brewing Co is one of the fastest growing breweries in B.C. Red Truck Beer is a North Vancouver based operation that is focused on making and delivering the freshest beer available. Born in Regina and raised in Kelowna, Dave "da Brewa" Varga moved to Vancouver in 1989 to start a band. He ultimately ended up enrolled at the University of British Columbia, where he earned his degree in Microbiology (he also has a degree in Electronic engineering). He first developed his love for brewing from a University Professor who held weekend brewing seminars in the school labs and "da Brewa" has been brewing ever since. He has been working in the Craft beer industry in Western Canada for the past 15 years and has been the Brewmaster here at Red Truck since Day 1.

Dave and his wife Emi live in North Vancouver. When "da Brewa" is not brewing, he enjoys teaching at his Dojo, cooking, listening to great bands and hanging with Ruby the Dog. His passion and commitment to excellence has been one of the driving forces behind our slogan "The Freshest Beer on Four Wheels".
