High Temperature Foil Tape (Keeps ends from fraying) 5,nstallation Notes: The Tadpole Door Gasket goes all the way around the glass; however, the tadpole portion only goes around 3 sides for the door seal. The fourth side is for the stoves “air-wash”. Be sure to note whether your unit has the air-wash at the top or the bottom of the door and replace gasket the same way. You will simply use a scissors to trim off the tadpole (Bulb) part of the gasket on the air-wash side just applying the flat tape gasket portion. Tadpole gasket adheres to the glass with removal of protective strip; no additional sealant is needed. You can use a razor blade to scrape off as much of the old adhesive left behind as possible to ensure the most secure seal when applying the new gasket. Foil tape is included to place over the two ends that butt up together. This insures that there is no fraying and helps your gasket last longer. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not use the nozzle on your vacuum cleaner against the tadpole gasket; this will cause it to wear prematurely. We recommend using a soft bristled paint brush to gently brush the ash off the gasket during your cleaning Maintenance
